Through my participation in the New York City Marathon I am using this opportunity to raise money for Team Hole in the Wall in honor of the beloved Stefanie Rieger. The description and mission of Team Hole in the Wall is listed below. Stefanie departed us too early and it' is vital we never forget what a unique and special individual she truly was. Stefanie and I shared incredible memories when her and many our friends studied together in Florence, Italy of Spring 2007. I want to use this opportunity for everyone to embrace their memories of Stefanie as this will truly mean a lot to many of her closest friends. Lets make marathon Sunday a special day to commemorate Stefanie and contribute to a good cause.

Every summer at Hole in the Wall Camps, hundreds of children become athletes and actors, painters and poets, swimmers and singers, clowns and canoe paddlers, naturalists, equestrians, and hot air balloonists. It is amazing what these campers accomplish in one week; just as amazing are the obstacles they overcome on a daily basis, for these children suffer from serious illnesses such as cancer, sickle cell anemia, HIV/AIDS, and hemophilia. Camp helps keep them going – throughout the many challenges of serious illness.
