Apply to Camp

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides a residential summer camp experience at no charge for children with a diagnosis of cancer, a serious blood disease, acquired or hereditary immune disorder, or metabolic disease. Medical care is provided by on-site pediatric doctors and nurses.

To attend Camp you must:

   1. Have a diagnosis of cancer, a serious blood disease, acquired or
       hereditary immune disorder, or metabolic disease. In certain
       cases we can accept children with other unique medical needs.
       Please ask your parent/guardian to contact us with questions.
   2. Be 7 to 15.
   3. Live in New England, New York, or New Jersey. Campers from other
       areas are included when possible.
   4. Be medically unable to attend any other camp.

To provide a camping experience for as many different children as possible, we ask that you attend only one of of the Association of Hole in the Wall camps.

Session 4         Immunology      July 3 - July 9
Session 5         General            July 12 - July 18
Session 6         Sickle Cell         July 21 - July 27
Session 7         General            July 31 - August 6
Session 8         General            August 9 - August 15
Session 9         Brother/Sister   August 18- August 24 

Brothers and sisters of campers who attend Sessions 1-8 who live in New England will receive an application in June to apply for the Brother/Sister Session. Those living outside this area may request an application by contacting the Camp office. Children applying for this session must be between the ages of 7 and 15 and must not have a diagnosis that would make him/her eligible for our other sessions. Brothers and sisters attend this session separately from their diagnosed sibling.

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization with camping facility in Ashford, CT and development offices in New Haven, CT. Established in 1988, it is the first camp founded in Paul Newman's family of camps collectively know as SeriousFun Children's Network.
